Welcome to the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Queensland’s website. We hope that following your virtual visit that you will turn this into a face to face acquaintance as soon as possible!
The Conservancy brings together a group of organisations with extremely well-established track records in tropical Queensland, all working to meet an urgent need for practically-oriented non-government wildlife conservation.
Neither the States nor the Commonwealth can continue to meet the expanding cost of nature conservation from tax revenues alone. We must therefore look for additional ways to conserve and manage our fabulous biodiversity.
The core objective of the Conservacy is to work with the community, all levels of government and the private sector, to conserve wildlife in the most biodiverse region of Australia.
With many years experience and a wealth of expertise, the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Queensland was formed in early 2006 and now promotes a new non-government approach to nature conservation in tropical Queensland.
